Why not just keep a photo on your phone?
Because the photo is the easy part. Claims fail on the details — the date, the serial number, the store's rules, and remembering in time.

Receipts & warranties, answered
Do digital receipts count for warranty claims?
In Australia, retailers and manufacturers generally accept any reasonable proof of purchase — a clear photo or scan of the receipt, an emailed invoice, or a bank statement. Docket Tin keeps a clear copy with the item so you always have it.
How long should I keep receipts?
For warranties, keep them for the full warranty period plus your consumer guarantee rights, which can last longer than the manufacturer's warranty. For tax, the ATO generally asks you to keep records for five years. Docket Tin keeps them until you delete them.
Why do paper receipts fade?
Most receipts are printed on thermal paper, which fades with heat, light and time — often within a year. Scanning on the day you buy means your proof never disappears.
What is a claim pack?
One tidy PDF with the item details, receipt, serial number, dated photos of the fault and your notes. Share it with the store or brand as a secure link, see when they open it, and switch it off whenever you like.
Can I hand a warranty over if I sell something?
Yes. Send the buyer a one-time transfer link and the item, its receipt and photos move to their account. Your private notes stay with you.
Is my information private?
Your receipts and photos are stored privately and only you can see them. You can even keep photos on your phone only, and download or delete everything at any time.
Your next receipt takes ten seconds.
